We can’t believe that we are half way through 2017 already! We have been reflecting on the past 6 months and reviewing our aims for the year. We are definitely on track, but there is still a lot of work to be done! Here are some of our highlights and some important information.
Being part of WordCamp Bristol
We are proud to be part of the brilliant WordPress community in Bristol. WordPress is the platform we use to build websites so it is important for us to be up to date on the newest features and designs. The first Bristol WordCamp, a conference where WordPress users and developers get together, was held in May, and we were proud to be volunteers. It was an amazing event to be a part of.
Important news and tips
Latest updates to WordPress
WordPress has now been updated to version 4.8. If you have a maintenance contract with us, worry not, as we have updated your website for you. If you do not have a maintenance contract make sure you update your version of WordPress and keep any plugins you have up to date. This will help keep your website safe and secure.

Being part of the Trust Local Directory
The Trust Local Directory is a great way to find local tradespeople that have been vetted and verified to give you peace of mind. We were proud to write an article for the latest edition about how to choose a web designer. Visit the Trust Local website for more information
New website for Refresh IT
We have enjoyed working with another local IT business, Refresh IT, building their new website. Refresh provide hosting for a number of our clients, and provide IT business support. They can also source refurbished laptops and PC’s and provide impartial advice if you are thinking of buying new equipment. Take a look at the Refresh IT website to find out more.
It’s Gelato weather
We have been working closely with Annie, from Designer Chocolates in Berkeley, supporting her website. We are very excited that she is now selling Gelato from her retail shop. Hidden away in the Old White Hart courtyard, just off the High Street, they have a small seating area perfect for relaxing and enjoying a delicious cool treat. Coconut raspberry with dark chocolate gelato and gin sorbet are our favourites! Find out the latest news on their Facebook page.
What’s next for the rest of 2017?
We are working on the finishing touches to a Bed and Breakfast website, a website that sells Bees and Honey and a Physiotherapy website, amongst other projects. We have also been selected to help a local charity create a new site which should be live later this year.
